All classes will be held in the Sherwood Community Music School building at 1312 S. Michigan Ave.

How early can I drop off my child?
Parents may drop off students between 8:30 - 9:00am. Students are not permitted in the building prior to 8:30am unless they are accompanied by a caregiver.

Do you provide lunch or snacks?
Lunch and snacks are not provided Monday-Thursday. On those days, students must bring a lunch from home that does not require refrigeration or heating. Please also send your camper with a healthy mid-morning snack. Please refrain from bringing peanut or tree nut products in the interest of allergy safety. A celebratory pizza lunch will be provided on Friday, June 28 between 12:00 - 1:30pm.

Will there be a final performance at the end of the camp?
Yes, there will be a short all camp performance in the Sherwood recital hall on Friday, June 28 from 2:30 - 3:30pm. Selected students also have an opportunity to perform in a solo recital which will be held on Thursday, June 27 from 1:00-1:30pm.

Do you offer extended care?
Maybe, if we have enough interest. Please contact us directly at to let us know you are interested in extended care and we will let you know if we have enough students to offer an extended care option.

How do you collect emergency medical and contact information?
We partner with the ePACT Network to collect signed waivers and comprehensive medical and emergency contact information for all campers. ePACT is a free, secure, and HIPAA compliant online system. Through ePACT, teachers and counselors have access to camper emergency information via a smartphone app, so no matter where we are, we can ensure that we have immediate access to all your child's vital information through a completely secure and private system. Invitations to join the ePACT Network will be sent out to all registrants several weeks prior to the start of the camp. Completion of ePACT is REQUIRED prior to attending camp.

Will campers have any unsupervised time during the day?
No, campers will be accompanied and supervised by one or more counselors or instructors at all times throughout the course of the day.

What is the screening process for any adults that will have contact with my child during the course of the program?
All employees of the Office of Continuing and Community Education at Columbia College Chicago have completed and passed a full background check and fingerprinting. This includes all full-time and part-time staff and faculty, teaching artists, substitute teachers, student workers, and camp counselors.

I have other questions about safety and security.
