Kathryn Satoh

Early Childhood
Since her relocation to Chicago in 2011, Kathryn Satoh has been very active in the development of music education. Through teaching violin, voice, and/or early childhood music at Merit School of Music, Sherwood Community Music School, Suzuki-Orff School of Music, Wheeling High School, Chicago West Community Music School, and the First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, she has established herself around the Chicagoland area as a teaching and performing artist. Kathryn received her Music together training through Marsha’s Music by Dr. Lili Levinowitz, and her Suzuki teacher trainers have included Edward Kreitman and Lucinda Ali-Landing.

Outside of her role as a teacher, Kathryn has performed with orchestras including Chicago Civic Orchestra and Oistrakh Symphony.  Her main focus as a performer is developing her violin/piano duo, Bow & Hammer.
